The year of 2023 ushers in the 40th anniversary of PLHKS. You are cordially invited to join the “40th Anniversary Dinner”. It is our honour to have invited our ex-Assistant Principal Sir Tsang to lead us in singing the school song. We have also invited a number of retired teachers, as well as current and former staff members, to take part in this special reunion. 

The details of the event are as follows:

Time: Reception at 6:30 p.m.; Banquet at 7:15 p.m.
Venue: Level 1, Riverside Ballroom, Regal Riverside Hotel, Tai Chung Kiu Road, Shatin
Price: $700 per head

S3 English Online Poetry Festival

Recently all of the form 3 students composed poems as part of their lesson on poetry. While there were many excellent poems, the best of the best have been selected to compete for the prize of top poet!

You can do your part to help us choose the winners.

Please follow the link https://plhkspoetry2020.weebly.com/and read the 15 finalists. After you have read them, go to the online ballot and rank your top five! It's that easy!

Winners will be announced at the end of voting.  Thank you for supporting our young poets.

If you wish to apply to the Demerit Waiving Scheme (功過相抵) to have your mini demerit (缺點) waived, please pay attention to the deadlines. The deadline for the application of S1 to S5 students is 22nd Jan., 2019, i.e. the last day of the First Term Examination. The deadline for the application of S6 students is 20th Feb., 2019, i.e. the last day of the Mock Examination.
 
You may obtain the application form from the form cabinet near the school entrance or Mr. Wong at Staff Room 103. Late application will not be handled.

Hong Kong No Air Con Night is a territory-wide energy saving event to promote the wise use of air conditioning, in order to lower the emission of greenhouse gases.

Every year, the Counselling Department organizes a programme called the "Big Brothers and Big Sisters Scheme". Through the programme, the big brothers and sisters share their love and experience with the Secondary One students in order to help them adapt to secondary school life smoothly and enjoy their time in PLHKS. There are two programmes to be held in September. It is hoped that the big brothers and sisters and the secondary one students will have a better understanding of one another through these two activities. Please note that ALL secondary one students are required to attend both activities. Details are as follows:

The world's largest collective environmental action, Earth Hour, will take place on 25th March 2017. Beginning in Sydney, Australia in 2007, Earth Hour has now gone global. Last year, millions of people in over 7,000 cities and towns across 172 countries and territories participated.
Our school has been invited to become a participant in this territory-wide event. We sincerely suggest that everyone in our school turn off non-essential lights for one hour, from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm on 25th March 2017.

一年一度大型集體環保行動 ─ 地球一小時2017將於3月25日舉行。由2007年於澳洲悉尼舉行首次「地球一小時」開始，活動現已累積全球162個國家、超過7000個城市、數以百萬計公眾參與。
我校已應繳參與此全港性活動。在此亦積極鼓勵全校教職員、家長及學生參與，建議於今年3月25日由晚上8時半至9時半把非必要的燈關掉。 
 
有興趣的教職員、家長及學生，可以網上登記參加 (https://earthhour.wwf.org.hk/)。 選擇「簽名並分享所在地-個人參與」，再依照指示進行登記。

本校銜哀致誠，謹此通告：我們敬愛的創校校監許賢發先生，於2016年12月7日因病辭世。
 

許賢發先生是本校創校校監，於1983年至1988年期間，擔任本校校監一職，盡心盡力策劃和推展學校各方面的工作。對於許先生辭世，本校同人均感十分悲傷，並向其家人致以深切慰問。

Obituary
 

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Hui Yin Fat, our Founding School Supervisor, on 7 December 2016.

Mr. Hui was our School Supervisor from 1983 to 1988. In those years, Mr. Hui worked selflessly in contributing himself to the development of our school. Members of our school are saddened by the news and express the greatest condolences to Mr. Hui’s family.
