Shakespeare's Romantic Night – 35th Anniversary Variety Show
‘Shakespeare's Romantic Night – 35th Anniversary Variety Show’ ended in a satisfactory way on 12th July, 2018 at Pui Ching Primary School – Block K 2/F Theater. We all had a jolly time. Thank you for coming and supporting our Variety Show. All our honorable guests, teachers, parents and alumni filled in all the seats. Your presence not only give support to our performers, but also share the happiness of 35th anniversary. I am here to show my appreciation to all of you.
The show started with the performance of our school band. ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’ and ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ were played. Most of the members in the band are junior form students, yet they performed so well in this formal and remarkable show. It shows the successfulness of the scheme “One student, one instrument”.
The band performance was followed by the drama show of the four Houses. Their lists of play are as follows:
Faith: Love's Labour's Lost
Grace: The Two Gentlemen of Verona
Hope: Romeo and Juliet
Love: As You Like It
After the spectacular performance of our students, it was time for our school choir. Hymn of Thanks, The Prayer of St. Francis and A Jubilant Song were sung. Thanks for the performance of our band and choir, they added music to our Variety show, making the whole show to be perfect.
We are so glad to have Dr. SHEK Pui Yee, EDB Senior Curriculum Development Officer (Chinese), Mr. YEH Cheung Shing, EDB Curriculum Development Officer (Art education), Dr Seto Mei Yee, Vice-chairperson cum Secretary of Hong Kong Teachers Drama Association and Ms. Lai Yuk Ching, Senior drama performer to be the judges of our show. The most touching moment of the night must be the ‘Chorus’. Our school students CHEN SHEUNG SHEUNG and CHAN YIN SUM have written a theme song for our school 35th Anniversary. Actors of the four houses and choir members sang on stage with the audience, to memorize the life in PLHKS together. Many alumni were touched and moved. Last but not least, we do appreciate all of you, including our guests, teachers, parents and alumni. Thanks for your support for such a successful show.
